I'm working on scripting/illustrating BlueWater Productions 'Female Force: Oprah Winfrey'.
At 19, I was convinced of my awesomeness. I sent out samples to the top ten or so companies (because I was awesome), and received as many rejections. About every five years or so following that, I would go to a convention somewhere and, still going to only the top companies (awesome), I was told things like "Really good! Yeah, but not 'Marvel' good. Maybe next year." Many Seasons came and went, and so it came to pass that, less than a year ago, I was designing kitchens and bathrooms - a business that soon went the way of the economy. Just before depression took hold, I stumbled upon some of my unfinished sequential pages from five years earlier, just before getting married and having kids lead me down the "grown up and get a 'real' job" path. I finished the samples and posted them on several forums along with an offer to any writer who would like to collaborate on a story to pitch to various creator-owned companies. I hooked up with a writer, and we created a six page sample of his story. That idea hasn't yet been picked up, but the pages from it landed me a gig with BlueWater Productions (http://www.bluewaterprod.com).

- As books go, I read almost nothing but non-fiction. Fiction - I read tons and tons of screenplays.
